On July 1 2006, a new Graham Cooke and Associates designed golf course took its rightful place among Jay’s list of superlatives. The course has been a core part of their Resort master plan for more than 15 years and, two Decembers ago, they cut the first tree.

With its wooded setting, stunning mountain, valley views, and uniquely landscaped surroundings, it takes full advantage of the beauty found only in this corner of the Northeast Kingdom in Vermont.

The lower nine holes are open for play, with the back nine coming online during the early Spring of 2007. The front nine sets out to the east of the base area and extends down the valley over the Jay Branch Brook. The back nine runs up into the West Bowl Area and opens up views of the mountain never before seen.

While visiting Jay Peak you can include a breathtaking Aerial Tram ride to the top of Jay Peak, a challenging hike along the Long and Appalachian trails, or a stroll along our very own Jay Trail Way as it ducks and fades beside the Jay Branch Brook.

Summer’s pace is a little slower than what you’ll find in the city. It’s even a little different than what you’ll find at other resorts in New England. If you’re looking for either hustle or bustle, it’s probably best to keep moving along. On the other hand, if you’re looking to relax, rejuvenate, reconnect (or something comfortably in the middle), Jay Peak Area will be just about perfect.
